Good morning, I thank you for contacting me, I will tell you about the DUMAS watch that I have bought, seeing it physically seems a much more expensive watch due to the quality of its materials and finishes, the SEIKO mechanism that it incorporates is very well regulated by you, I am telling you about it because I have this same mechanism in other watches and they do not keep the minutes as you send this caliber, therefore very happy with the purchase and waiting for a good offer from you to buy the new 1000mts model that you have just bought. get thank you very much NOTE: The only downside that I would put is the very good Milanese but the pin has not been solved as I had read in some forum and it continues to move and is not very comfortable
Hi Juanjose, Thank you for your feedback. Please be advised that our customer support team will reach out to you shortly so we can help address the bracelet problem that you mentioned.
After changing the mesh band for a nato, this watch looks great on my wrist and even better in person than any picture could ever do justice. The workhorse NH35 movement keeps time as well as any other automatic watch, and overall the watch has a vintage 70’s look with a bit of an Omega SHOM feel to it that makes the polprof hands that much more appreciated by me - as is the black background for the date window. This is a must-have watch for any collectors, and watch enthusiasts in general appreciate the aesthetics of this watch as much as the reliability and the quality. Truly, well done. - Aaron C.
I’m very happy with this purchase. The Dumas is a reliable, stylish diver with both vintage and modern appeal — I’ve been wearing it almost exclusively. The only reason that I am not giving it a five-star review is some issues that I have with the bracelet. The mesh bracelet in-and-of itself is of a nice quality, but the keeper is oversized, allowing the end of the strap to flop around freely. This would be a perfect purchase if this was addressed by either 1) fixing the size of the keeper, or 2) magnetizing the end of the bracelet so it would stay in the place. That said, I’ve managed to work around this issue and very much enjoy wearing this watch on both the standard mesh bracelet and the rubber strap I bought in addition to the watch. Having both straps allows this watch a broad appeal, working nicely in casual settings as well as more formal/professional ones. I would highly recommend this purchase.
At this price point, this really should be a 5-star watch . . . and would have been. The only reason it is not is entirely due to the bracelet. Such a shame! It would matter less if the mesh strap wasn't the ideal aesthetic to frame this piece. Alas, it is . . . but, that said, here end[eth] the negatives. Because I am really happy with my purchase, overall. Completely love the vibe and the extra bit of "special" feeling the non-tool design offers to a guy with a chunky wrist. Quality is first rate. Application of indices is top-notch. Proportions are spot-on . . . and it made me want to check the time more than usual (always a good indication of visual appeal). Well done guys and gals; you can be justly proud. Achieving a satisfying blend of retro queues (without being "twee" or over-indulgent) and modern-day functionality is an admirable achievement. Ref. the bracelet (sorry to harp on!): A mesh bracelet simply has to have the "strap over-spill" tucked on the inside. Plus it's unnecessarily thick. And, as a word of caution . . . the only reason it's not a deal breaker [in this instance] is because, as an horology nut job, I have no problem swapping out straps (and happen to like silicon - luckily, your piece is handsome and versatile enough to carry off pretty much any strap match-up!). So, honestly . . . great job!!! Sincere best wishes Steve Steven Muzyka-Robinson (United Kingdom)
Hi Steven, thank you for your feedback. We're sorry about the mesh bracelet issue. Please know that we are working to address the problem that you described, and the updated bracelet will hopefully be ready by the end of this year. If you'd like to be notified once the new bracelet is available, please let us know. In the meantime, as a temporary solution, you are free to swap out the bracelet.
